This format of assessment offers a full activity (and/or psychological effect) evaluation of claimants, suitable for application at any stage of the Income Protection / PHI claim and available to Claims Departments that wish to commission a higher volume of initial or review assessments at a pre-determined price. It is equally suited to either a ‘progress-type’ of report, or as a one-off assessment.
The ACA facility can be arranged with us via mail, fax, e-mail, etc. On-line ACA referrals can be arranged by visiting our booking web site at:
http://www.PATConsultants-ReferralForm.co.uk
Where an Insurer may wish to initially examine the nature of our ACA format, and/or to choose which particular Sections to instruct us to undertake, this can be facilitated by visiting page 1 of this web site and left-clicking on the ‘blue coloured Concept 13 area’ at the top of the page. (Please contact us for the unlock password to open the embedded ACA format .pdf file)
An exciting feature of our ACAs is the amenity through Section 11 to now undertake a comparison of the claimant’s usual job duties as defined by DOT & O*Net occupational analyses, with the IADLs (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living) the claimant is presently able to undertake despite their current alleged disability. This enables levels of matching for us to assess the potential for a return to work as may be appropriate to his/her current capability i.e. whether the claimant’s current personal, social, domestic and lifestyle activities can now be regarded as comparable/equivalent to that of a paid job in some form. In this way the potential can be assessed for a RTW wherever possible, and in many cases such recommendations can now be particularly well reasoned.
An example of a typical O*Net Job Analysis is accessed by visiting page 1 of this web site and left-clicking on the appropriate O*Net area at the top of the page. (Please contact us for the unlock password to open the embedded O*Net .pdf file).
In essence, our newly introduced ACA assessment option comprises either a 2-hour or a 3-hour home visit and subsequent report by one of our Occupational Therapists at a pre-set inclusive competitive price, irrespective of geographical location within the UK.
A GP records analysis is an optional service, chargeable as a supplement to the normal ACA.
