PAT comprises a specialist independent clinical assessment consultancy
service available to either the Health Claims Departments of insurance
companies, or in litigatory circumstances to Defendant insurance
companies and/or their legal representatives, and also to Plaintiff's actions,
Occupational Health / Human Resources Managers, etc.
As part of our clinical assessment services PAT offers comprehensive evaluations of claimants alleging either psychological or physical disabilities. Our consultancy specialisms consist of two broad areas of professional expertise;

- Chartered Clinical Psychologists conducting both qualitative and quantitative assessments of the total range of potential psychologically-related conditions (eg. Reactive Depression, Anxiety, Stress, phobias, PTSD, personality disorders, etc, as well as head injuries and associated neuropsychological cognitive/affective impairments).

- State Registered Occupational Therapists (OTs) conducting assessments of all physical conditions and disabilities (including such relatively newly-recognised conditions such as Repetitive Strain Injury, Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome, etc),
as well as common psychological conditions at a primary level, and relating the patient's assessed clinical & functional capabilities to the personal social and domestic impacts alleged by the claimant, and also to the tasks delineated within the claimant's premorbid occupational role.
Our OTs can additionally provide psychometric evaluations of ability/ aptitude, personality, and occupational interests of the claimant. Such assessments may seek to identify specific employment roles suited to the claimant's / plaintiff's remaining physical and psychological capabilities.

Also, where required, Occupational Therapy assessments can be undertaken in order to respond to litigatory Statements of Claim in which physical aids/devices/appliances/ adaptations have been stated to be required by the claimant, together with auditing the Statement’s detailed costings analyses.
